Downtown Hampton Marketplace begins May 22

For many boaters, the challenge of finding fresh produce within walking distance of a marina can be a challenge.

But not so in downtown Hampton, where the Downtown Hampton Market Place will be open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. beginning May 22 through Sept. 4.

The market features a variety of fruits and vegetables from regional farmers, as well as seafood, homemade baked goods and other Virginia specialties. Enjoy live music, local artistry, cooking demonstrations, and wine and beer tastings as well. Children can enjoy activities and ride the Historic Hampton Carousel.

Admission is free; $4 charge for children’s rides and activities. Call 727-0900 for information.

Note: No market on July 10 due to the Hampton Blackbeard Pirate Festival and 400th Anniversary Celebration Weekend.
